Don't lease or buy a BMW 760 until you read this!

The Spies were checking out the latest confidential BMW dealer residuals when we glanced at the residual for the brand new 760 (see residuals below)

And were we EVER surprised!

The 760 residualizes 12 points LOWER (value projected at 48% of MSRP after 36 months of ownership) than the 745Li.

The 745Li residual is 61% after three years.

By the way, we think the guys at BMW financial services are NUTS, actually thinking a 745LI will be worth 61% of its value, after three years.

Trust us, there won’t be a soul on earth, that is going to pay you 61% of its value in three years. We think you’ll be fortunate to get 61% after ONE year of ownership, when you try to sell one.

Our advice, is to stay clear of a lease or a purchase of  the 760, unless you’re intent on buying some major league depreciation!

And if you think we’re just picking on BMW here, don’t get us started on how bad Mercedes-Benz cars have been holding their value lately.
