So, as we all know the Bugatti Veyron is currently the world's fastest production vehicle with a staggering top speed record of 268 mph. And if you didn't know, Bugatti has done the globe a favor by producing five World Record Edition (WRE) Veyrons.

Kind of like the McLaren F1 LM, that was only built in a series of five in Papaya Orange, this Veyron will be highly sought after for years.

But with everything, there is a catch: it costs 1.95 million euros while the standard Super Sport is 1.65 million euros.

With all of that said, is the WRE worth the extra change or is this merely a pissing contest based on obscure facts and figures?


Last month, evo Contributing Editor Chris Harris and Harry Metcalfe (Editorial Director), hit the jackpot by spending a whole day driving the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport on the fabulous driving roads of Southern Spain.
 
Chris Harris and Harry Metcalfe managed to get the keys to one of only five ‘World Record Edition’ versions built by Bugatti. These ultimate Veyrons are easy to spot as they will all be finished in bare carbon bodywork, finished off with florid orange highlights (including the wheels) to differentiate them from the standard Veyron Super Sport....
