Although it seems a lot of European manufacturers are chasing dreams of $200,000 electric supercars, Cadillac has a different plan: electrify the crossover.
To be more speicfic, Cadillac hasn't mentioned much about the Converj but has brought up the possibility of giving the SRX some voltage. With that said, it is likely that General Motors would borrow technology from the Chevrolet Volt to create an SRX with the same principles.
Imagine that, an SRX with Volt technology? That's a car people would be willing to pay for while enjoying the benefits of the tech-laden Volt. Oh yeah, and I'd be willing to wager that GM would be able to make a nice profit off of a Cadillac variant boasting the Volt's inner workings.
General Motors has a plug-in hybrid based on the Cadillac SRX crossover in the works, according to Reuters.
