Well, the answer to our headline is a little bit difficult to technically answer.
That's because the response is a little bit of "yes" and "no." A little bit of "A" and "B," if you will. Let's give it a brief rundown. Essentially, it boils down to this:
1) The BMW 135i is a better performer, especially when you compare test times
2) The VW Golf R, although it isn't beating the 135i during testing, is a better buy since it is 6,000 Euros cheaper in this comparison
Now that Volkswagen has confirmed that the Golf R will be making its way to the States, will it sway you from taking the plunge on a BMW 135i?
Although we have no idea on how it will price out, we guess it will follow along the lines of the MKV R32 with a price on the lower side of $30,000.
