Future Nissans and Acuras
Mystery solved
We published this in last week issue and got a ton of email. Thanks for the responses! Here’s our favorite: Dear 001, The scan of a magazine you received is of a Japanese publication. The cars are CG illustrations by some kind of associated press in Japan (have seen them in multiple magazines) and are of cars that are to be sold in Japan within the next couple of years. I am referring to: http://www.imakenews.com/autospies/e_article000149652.cfm The first photo on the left (top) is of a HONDA LEGEND. The Legend is the Japanese version of the RL, which means this is the next-gen Acura RL. The next photo (right center) is of a NISSAN CEDRIC/GLORIA. This is also known as the Infiniti M45 in the U.S. The next photo (left, toward bottom) is of a TOYOTA ARISTO, or otherwise known as the Lexus GS300/430. Finally, to the right and bottom (yellow vehicle) is a TOYOTA CROWN "ATHLETE". This is an exclusive car sold mainly in Japan which is basically like a Town Car equivalent in Japan, albeit being a bit more "present-time" in terms of image. Around the four CG illustrations are, just in case you can't recognize them, are an Audi S6, Ford Mustang (original and concept) on the opposite page, and a 350Z convertible. However, these are photographs that have been released before. Thanks, tech77jp
