We get a lot of email from readers, asking if manufacturers are aware of major problems, going on with their cars. The answer is for the most part, yes. Most manufacturers such as BMW send service bulletins to their dealers alerting them of the issue. So when your dealer tells you he's never heard of your problem, it's probably not true in most cases. Trust us, they won't be very forthcoming in showing you these documents.
