Looks like Audi will not let the BMW X1 eat away at possible market share. That's because the brand with four rings is in the process of producing a Volkswagen Tiguan-based Audi Q3 sport-utility vehicle.

Although it's slathered in plenty of camouflage, AutoExpress is claiming that the Q3 will look much like the Q5 with some slight differences here and there. Think of it like the A6 and A8: although they both have their own unique size, a lot of the styling characteristics are shared between both vehicles.

Look for the Q3 to make an appearance at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

After years of speculation and snatched spy-shots we've finally got our first clear look at Audi's BMW X1-rivalling Q3. 

Despite the disguise, these pictures do begin to reveal how the Q3 will look. Much like the way an A6 looks like a small A8, many of the Q5's styling flourishes will make their way onto the Q3. Expect to see pronounced ridges on the bonnet and bulging wheelarches all making it on to the production model...
