Auto Spies Exclusive: Don't buy a Cayenne before you read this

We'll save you a lot of heartache and dough

If you're in the market for the Cayenne be careful and don't get stuck with an old model.

Old model...how could it be old if it just came out?

Believe it or not, the first few units delivered to dealers were 2003 models and the 2004's are already showing up in dealerships.

Make sure your dealer makes sure you're getting a 2004.

The lease residuals have changed as well for the 2004's.

Instead of 52% on the 2003 after 36 months, the 2004 has a 61% residual (12K miles).

If you did get a 2003, you just ate about $6K in depreciation and your dealer SHOULD have warned you in advance, that the 2004's were so close.
