Frank Weber, the product chief of General Motors Co.’s Opel unit, has resigned and is believed to transfer to a competitor, according to a report by Automotive News Europe, citing sources. Last Thursday, an Opel spokesman gave confirmation of Weber’s resignation. Weber’s departure is the second time in less than a year that a top-tier engineer who’s highly knowledgeable about Opel’s future products has left the company.
