Making its debut at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will be the long-awaited 2013 Lexus GS. And it's about time, to be quite honest.
If the recall issues with Toyota and Lexus weren't bad enough, it's pretty clear that the marque's products are getting a bit stale. In turn, it seems that the brand's sales have suffered due to its aging product line up and you better believe that the Japanese quake didn't make things better. But given that this car's apple doesn't seem to fall too far from the LF-Gh's tree, we're thinking this car will make an impact on the market with its aggressive styling and departure from the Lexus of yore.
Not only does the car have a much more European-inspired exterior, its interior -- from what I could see through the tinted glass -- was definitely taking a page out of the F10 BMW 5-Series' book.
That strikes me as weird, usually when a company unleashes a concept into the wild the interior is still pretty much a mock up, this thing looked ready to go. So, I think its safe to say Lexus has been working on this product for a bit of time.
And by the way. What is Lexus hinting at here with this little teaser of the car on the track? It's already pretty well established that Lexus has been attempting to revamp its boring image, will the GS be the third sport-intended vehicle for the brand?
The All-New 2013 Lexus GS makes an appearance on the track. Tune in for the live reveal on August 18th, 2011 at 4:15 PDT at http://www.facebook.com/Lexus
