BMW's X1 has been HOT abroad, in terms of sales. So hot, in fact, the US has been put on a delayed launch. The car was supposed to already be here!
With that said, Mercedes-Benz isn't going to take this sitting down. In an attempt to take back some of this market share, Benz will be creating a new product, dubbed the GLC. This will be Mercedes' answer to the Audi Q3 and other entry-level premium sport-utility vehicles.
In addition, it will also be working on a CLC and CLC Shooting Brake, which will serve as CLS-inspired "babies."
Think of it as a C-Class CLS. It should price in that neighborhood and remain a swoopy, stylish product. Spy photographers have already spotted it in testing, and its shape looks relatively identical to the high-end CLS.
