BMW's next-generation 3-Series coupe, rumored to be called the 4-Series, is undergoing development and as far as we can see, it appears that BMW is sticking to its guns with the folding, metal hardtop.
While some individuals find the hardtop to be a necessity to compete in today's marketplace, many enthusiasts find the folding metal roofs to do more harm than good. That's because they've been known to look clumsy and dampen the driving experience; however, one could make the argument if you want performance you shouldn't purchase a convertible, at all.
