The 2012 BMW 3-Series Gets 001's Vote - What Does Audi, MB, Lexus And Cadillac Have To Do To BEAT It?

Before you even ask yourself that question though, maybe it's more appropriate to wonder if they'll even come close. You have to remember that the BMW 3-Series, for years, has been the benchmark product in the entry-level premium class.

And it's been that way for quite sometime.

Has BMW done it again? 001 seems to think so.

That said, what do the other guys have to do to keep pace or even BEAT the all-new 3-Series?

We know that Audi and Mercedes-Benz just refreshed the A4 and C-Class for 2012, but what about Lexus and Cadillac? Since the GS just wrapped up its all-new redesign, we assume the ES and IS should be up in short order. Cadillac's ATS has been a long-awaited project that General Motors says will take on the 3-Series directly with its already spied manual gearbox and all-wheel drive capability.

More importantly, we want to know the STRONG points that EACH vehicle will have to bring to the table to take the 3-Series by the horns.
