The Maserati Quattroporte is one of those cars that is polarizing. It lures you in with its sex appeal and superb sounding V8, but in the real world you know that its not quite up to spec with the competition.
When it's facing the upper echelon of luxury rides, with the likes of the Porsche Panamera, Jaguar XJ Super Sport, Mercedes-Benz CLS and upcoming 6-Series Gran Coupe, it's old-school interior and questionable electronics really put it at a disadvantage.
However, sometimes to sell a product all you need is a stunning design.
Take, for instance, the Nokia 8600 Luna, which I proudly owned years ago. What it lacked in performance -- among the debut of a wealth of smartphones -- it made up in design and superior fit and finish. The same can be said of the current Quattroporte.
Now though a new set of renderings have surfaced in a European auto publication. Though we can't say how close these renderings are to the next-gen product, I have to say if the next Maserati sedan looks this good, they're onto something.
But enough about what I think, what say you, Spies?
Are these renderings depicting Maserati going in the RIGHT or WRONG direction for the next-gen Quattroporte?
