Those of you that were expecting the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette to be a revolution may be disappointed.

Though it is a short and not the best footage we've run across, it certainly is better than nothing!

Clearly the Corvette is heavily camouflaged with a black covering but it's pretty clear that the vehicle will maintain most of the elements that make it a Corvette. Likely it will be a front-engined V8 with power being sent to the back. In addition, this video seems to show a quad-tipped exhaust tightly kept together in the center of the rear end AND the typical four, circular taillights.

That's all we've got for you at the moment but stay tuned and we'll keep you ahead of the curve with any Corvette-related news...

The prototype was under heavy camouflage but we are still able to see some details such as the four tailpipes, which unlike the current model, are bundled very closely together. The video also proves that the C7 will remain a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car

GM is keeping a tight lid on most things concerning the next Corvette, but we expect to see a new generation of V8 engines in both naturally aspirated and force-fed forms.
