This is a question that's been lingering in my head for a while.

Ferrari is likely one of the most iconic marques to grace this planet. That's not just including cars, I am talking about all brands. It has history, tradition and it transcends just about every age group that's currently alive today.

Though everyone knows we love Apple -- because they simply make great products -- there's a certain element of emotion to Ferrari that you just can't bottle up. Or, perhaps you can as Ferrari would love to sell you its latest cologne. Or tickets to its theme park. Or polo T-shirts.

Now the whole purpose of Enzo Ferrari's move to sell production vehicles was ONLY to get more funding for his racing team. That's it.

You can reasonably make the same argument that Ferrari is doing the same through merchandising the brand with everything you can think of, except I don't think they make a Ferrari toilet...yet.

The thing is, selling a car is much more inline to the whole racing schtick. Selling Puma-branded Ferrari shoes, not so much. That's the thing: Has the brand become bigger than the actual racing team?

That's why I just need to know: Has Ferrari SOLD OUT or has it simply BOUGHT IN so it can fund its racing program and continue building some of the most exciting products today?

You tell me, Spies.
