According to the latest Harris Interactive AutoTECHCAST study, US consumers are definitely warming up to FFV. The study conducted bi-annually among adult vehicle owners in the United States took the opinion of 12,857 US adults who own a US car model dated 2001 or newer or lease a vehicle.

The study has an interesting discovery—it says two-thirds of consumers surveyed are familiar with E85 flexible fuel vehicles, and more than one-half are interested in purchasing such a vehicle. Consumers (88%) cite reason for interest in purchasing flexible fuel vehicles as a step towards reducing dependency on petroleum. So annoyed are consumers with gas crisis that around 53% of those surveyed indicated their willingness to pay more money for a vehicle that uses less petroleum-based fuel.
