Though the unveil of Mercedes-Benz's long-awaited supercar, the SLS AMG Black Series is what made headlines over the weekend, one little item that may have snuck away from most publications were the images of the all-new A45 AMG.

One could argue that this is even MORE anticipated than the SLS Black as it will be affordable to most people who aren't earning stupid sums of money.

Oh, that and we're also pretty sure folks want to see how AMG's latest product will square off with BMW's new 135i M and Audi's RS3.

That said, we're getting closer to that point as Mercedes was happy to show us some official spy shots, which is an oxymoron but whatever.

So, how about a video or some official specs, Mercedes?


Mercedes-Benz has released their new teaser images of the
2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG, which will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next year.

The A-Class A 45 AMG will have around 370hp and 300 pound-feet of torque. The engine is a twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0 liter codenamed M133 and based on the Daimler 2.0 liter turbocharged powerplant. These figures give it the highest series-production power-per-liter rating in the world. It will be the first AMG engine not built at Affalterbach, but at Daimler’s four-cylinder assembly plant at Kölleda. The Germans will still use the one-man, one-engine principle...
