When the Buick LaCrosse was completely revitalized using an Opel for its underpinnings, it was a pretty sensational change from the Buick of the 1990s. I can't think of a more UNDESIRABLE vehicle than a Buick from the 1990s.
Dear God, remember the Park Avenue?
Now it seems that Buick has gotten a newfound footing. Buyers are getting younger and a couple of years ago I had friends in their 20s inquiring about the brand's latest products -- namely the LaCrosse and Regal.
The car that helped start it all, the LaCrosse, is now getting refreshed for the 2014 model year and we've got the FIRST pictures to prove it.
From the initial shots, it's clear that it will receive an updated face with a new headlight design, larger front grille and revised front valence. Its rear end will be revised with slightly modified LED taillights, a touch more chrome and repositioned exhaust tips.
On the inside you can see that its center stack is a bit more subdued; however, we cannot confirm if this is just due to this specific vehicle's trim or if this is a permanent move across all trim levels. A Buick without fake wood almost seems sacrilegious.
