And that is what Saab fans the world over may be saying now that there is a completely redesigned 9-3. After all, Saab redesigns its models about as often, in car years, as Sweden declares war.
Our MarketWatch test fleet 9-3 was a Linear four-door, the bottom of the line. Cosmic blue metallic paint (see slide show), an automatic transmission that you can also shift yourself if you like, automatic climate control, comfortable leather seats and a raft of other goodies brought the sticker to $32,335 from a base of $25,900. That also includes free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles.
The interior looks like a fine Swedish auto system, with easy-to-read dials, but too many buttons –
Not to be missed are three totally cool Saab features: They kept the floor-mounted ignition switch. The huge glove box also has a cooler to keep your drinks chilled. And have your first-time passengers punch the button on the dash-mounted cupholder. It's an interesting piece of engineering ...
