I remember when I saw the Aston Martin V12 Zagato for the first time. And, boy, did it blow my doors off.
While Zagato has a tremendous amount of history when it comes to coachbuilding, I cannot say I've always been a fan. It's designs always seemed a bit too over the top for my taste; however, when I saw this Aston, my jaw hit the floor.
That's because it is, in my subjective opinion, just about perfect. Considering it is based off the V12 Vantage, which is already one of the strongest automotive designs I've seen in the flesh, it's hard to get that one step higher.
Looks aside though, it must be a somewhat difficult purchase to make. that's because it costs approximately three times the price of the standard car. That's a hard check to write when you know the V12 is the same and the interior is only marginally different.
Since there are so few V12 Zagatos to be produced, and likely even less to make it to the hands of journalists, when I saw this review by AutoExpress I KNEW I had to share it with you.
