Although a lot of folks have been waiting and watching for the all-new BMW 4-Series, I think that ship has sailed. Sure the concept was controversial with its ridiculous braided leather seating and horrible front/rear valence. The reality is from the spy photos we've seen it will be much more dialed down and inline with the production 3-Series sedan.
Now the attention will turn to the 1-Series coupe successor, the 2-Series. While the 1-Series coupe wasn't exactly a runaway success when compared with its siblings stateside, it did provide a tremendously rewarding driving experience. And now that the M135i has been garnering SO much positive attention abroad, I think we may be in for a helluva M235i in the U.S.
Though something tells me it will lack exactly what that 2011 1M was about. You can't argue with the fact it was half 1-Series, half M3.
All of this said, you're probably chomping at the bit to see the 2-Series around the track.
