At the 2013 New York Auto Show Chevrolet surprised just about everyone with a couple of things. One, the Camaro got an exterior revision for the 2014 model year. And, more importantly, the more track-focused Z28 took a bow.

For those of you not in the loop, this is a big deal. The Z28 will be a lighter competitor slated to go up against the likes of the Ford Mustang Boss except this will have 500 horsepower being pumped from an LS7. That's the same V8 found in the C6 Z06.

If you're not a Corvette lover, I'll put it to you this way. If I was shopping, money was no object and I HAD to pick a Corvette, it'd be a Z06. The more lightweight package plus the louder and more brutal sounding 7.0-liter motor is intoxicating.

It looks like the Camaro Z28 will be the pick of the litter. And to understand why, check out BOTH videos and notice the more crude 7.0-liter V8 with its LOUDER grunt.
