To quickly answer the headline, as I always say when it comes to modded cars, "It really matters what you do, exactly." That means exactly what it sounds like.
Every car is different. So the type of mods makes a difference as does the aftermarket manufacturer. You can't compare an Akrapovic exhaust to a one-off made by a shop in a shed.
That said, a video recently cropped up of a Lotus Evora tearing ass through Europe with a modified exhaust from PbRacing and it has — in my opinion — significantly altered the car's character. And, not for the better.
If anything, the unique sound that used to come from the Evora has now been switched out for a generic six-cylinder note reminiscent of an Infiniti G37 or VW Golf R32.
What say you, Spies? Is this Lotus Evora sounding sexy or dead on arrival?
I had the opportunity to get a ride in an amazing Lotus Evora V6 which is fitted with an extremely loud PbRacing exhaust system and a carbon fibre cold air intake.
Thanks to these improvements the car is now able to produce around 295hp!
