Arguably one of the most interesting cars to appear at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show was the Bertone styled Aston Martin Jet 2+2.

Based on the beautifully styled Rapide, the Jet takes that awesome auto, and essentially, Bertone fits a "shooting brake" rear end on it. So, now Barry Weir has an estate Aston Martin Rapide.

No word on cost but rumors swirling around say around three to five million British pounds sterling.

No one has driven it, that is until now. Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe takes the Jet out for a spin and gets a bit more comfortable behind the wheel. According to Sutcliffe, Aston Martin's decision-makers have not said if a production version will come.

Until then, there's only one in the galaxy.

Built for a wealthy enthusiast and driven by Sutcliffe, the Aston Martin Rapide-based Bertone Jet 2+2 Shooting Brake is a strict one-off. But don't think its a hacked-about trailer queen - this perfectly-formed machine is so complete, Aston are considering a small production run.
