At the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, one concept stood out amongst them all. That, my friends, was the Italdesign Parcour. Looking distinctly stylish and unique, we couldn't help but notice its mid-engine set up and jacked up, off-roader appearance.
It wasn't all just for looks though, as you'll find out below.
That's because the Italdesign Parcour is actually functional. It's not a design study or a dressed up clay model. Recently Car & Driver had the opportunity to go abroad and pilot the concept. And, not letting a good drive go to waste, they wisely captured it on film. Don'd judge the quality too harshly though.
There are several things that make this clip particularly interesting.
- Not only is the Parcour driven on road in typical Italian fashion — fast — it is also driven off-road in a spirited pace. Keep in mind the tires are not swapped out.
- Italdesign's Vice Chairman, Fabrizio Giugiaro, is on hand to not only drive it but also go through the details of the design. Hint: there are a couple really neat things I didn't notice about the vehicle's exterior design until NOW.
Enough of the rambling, get watching.
We go for a drive with Fabrizio Giugiaro in his latest creation, the Lamborghini V10-powered Parcour Concept.
