According to the latest reports, at early pre-production drives of the upcoming BMW i3, BMW has started to show its cards. Just a little.
While there wasn't any definitive word, the rumor going around is that the i3 will come in at 35,000 Euros. Stateside, you can expect to pay somewhere around $34,500, though we'll admit this is pretty sketchy at the time of this writing.
As we've reported to you in previous stories, the vehicle will be offered with two powertrain setups, one that's a fully electric vehicle and the other will have a range-extender. If you opt for the more rational choice or expect to do a bit more driving than give or take 80 - 100 miles then you should be prepared to cough up approximately 2,000 Euros or $2,000 buckaroos.
Once again, this is all hearsay so until the fat lady sings, or the official pricing information crops up this is only speculation.
