General Motors Co. said Friday it has terminated one of its top U.S. Cadillac executives for “violating a company policy.”

Chase Hawkins had served as U.S. vice president of sales and service for the Cadillac brand for about a year.

“Chase has left, effective immediately due to a violation of company policy,” Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell said in an email. “The position of U.S. vice president of Cadillac sales and service will be filled at a later date.”

Caldwell declined to comment further.
