In the past month there's been some trending buzz about the all-new Lamborghini Gallardo replacement. The reality is two fold at this stage.

One, the Cabrera, which is what folks are calling it for now, has some BIG boots to fill. The Gallardo was a vehicle the really opened up Lamborghini to an all-new buyer AND was the most sold product for the marque, ever, in just TWO years.

Two, Lamborghini actually doesn't have to work that hard to bring out an all-new and better product. Sure it could go out and do something drastic but I think if it just level sets the vehicle and make it lighter with a touch more power and give it an all-new design folks will be just as happy. I think they're at the stage where the battle is going to be won in inches, not miles.

That's because although the competition is strong from Ferrari's 458 Italia, Porsche's all-new Turbo S and McLaren's MP4-12C, the truth is the only car it's competing with is the Ferrari. That's because these two vehicles emit something the other technological wizards don't.

Considering the above though, we're a bit curious. If Lamborghini takes a more cautious path this time around and puts out something similar to the rendering below, will it risk the market share it has earned since the debut of the Gallardo about a decade ago?
