In recent months the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class coupe has been getting spied left and right. It's clear that it is shaping up to stand quite a bit apart from the rather conservative S-Class sedan.
With a more sleek look, a more steeply raked windshield and a much smaller greenhouse it actually has a much more sporting look to it than the previous generation cars it succeeds.
What makes this spy picture interesting is that it was snapped by the company's U.S.-Based CEO, Steve Cannon. Methinks that Cannon may have paid a visit to the engineers who must be giving the vehicle a workout near Death Valley.
Something that strikes me odd about the photograph is the lineup of vehicles trailing the S coupe. Note the all-new Jaguar F-Type? Why would Mercedes-Benz have that there before the all-new SL-Class? Perhaps Benz is trying to see if it should sport up the SL?
