Mercedes-Benz is on a developmental tear. It seems like there are so many products in the pipeline, and to be honest, that's because there are!
A particularly interesting product we've been awaiting more details about is the rumored SLC. Slated to go up against the likes of the Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 911 and, I guess, Chevrolet Corvette it's going to have some stiff competition.
But the latest word on the street seems to suggest Mercedes is coming to the party locked and loaded. A report from Auto Express suggests it will have upwards of 480 horsepower and an available AMG Package pushing it over the 500 mark. This power will come from a newly developed 4.0-liter V8 powerplant that will also see implementation in the all-new C63 AMG.
Though I would expect the vehicle to appear at an auto show in 2014, our friends across the pond suggest it will actually be later in 2015. Aside from the overwhelming amount of camouflage, I'd think it'd be sooner than that.
