The saga of the upcoming BMW M3 and M4 continues. Now we're getting some FIRST looks at some of the differentiating features the M will have over your standard 3- and 4-Series products.
Though most of it shouldn't come as a significant surprise, there are a couple of surprises that we think will make Bimmerphiles VERY happy.
We'll start small and work our way up to the big deal items.
First, the side mirrors. It's clear in the images we're seeing that the mirrors will boast the similar trait as seen on the E36 and E9x — a two-pronged base. Works for us!
Second, the hood bulge is properly exposed and this should give you a good idea of its size and placement.
Third is the first surprise. The new M3/M4 **MAY** have some serious sport seats. In some of the shots you can see that the back of the seat is a one-piece deal and it is shiny. Whether it is painted or carbon fiber is beyond us but that's a good sign for some proper racing seats.
Fourth is the second surprise. If you look closely at the M4 that's in the shots, you'll likely notice the much more prominent trunk lid that's very "CSL-like."

The F82 M4 and F80 M3 prototypes have now shed a significant amount of camouflage, revealing more than ever.
