One of Mercedes-Benz's more popular vehicles is due up for an all-new look. The GLK-Class has always struck me a bit oddly. For some reason, to me, it never seemed to look right. Very edgy in design it had a certain boxiness to it that really required a skilled buyer to option it just right before it actually appealed to me.
Perhaps I am alone in this case but that's where I stand.
Recently with its mid-life refresh I noted its revamped look seemed to be easier on the eyes. The slight differences gave it just enough verve to capture attention and, I can't begin to say how much better its interior looked post refresh. This product must have been one of the last developed vehicles in conjunction with Chrysler — that's how bad the interior looked before pre-refresh.
Now though it's clear that Mercedes has gotten its act together for an all-new product. Following the development of the all-new GLA-Class, which we're eagerly awaiting the reveal of, the all-new GLK-Class made its first appearance out on the open road.
Looking similar to the big daddy GL-Class, the GLK appears much more rounded off than the first-gen product.
From what I can decipher from the camouflage and facade, it appears it will follow the generic Mercedes styling of late: large front grille and droopy-ish headlights with LED treatments.
