Though it seemed silly at first considering Jaguar's sister brand is Land Rover, it appears that the company is actually moving full-steam ahead with a sport-utility vehicle. This should get interesting, particularly as the company continues to "knock it out of the park," when it comes to all-new introductions.

Spy photographers near the British marque's Gaydon-based headquarters captured a particularly revealing shot of the all-new SUV. It shows the vehicle from its rear 3/4, which is much more intriguing than the past picture that only showed us what it looked like from the rear.

Essentially the SUV appears to be sporting an XF body that's been jacked up.

Though that may be disappointing to some of you, keep in mind that this actually gives us some detail about how the production version will be. That's because even in this early stage development mule you can see where the company will be taking this product.

It's likely to be small and more of an X4-like vehicle than a traditional SUV.

Word on the street suggests the SUV will appear in concept form at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for any early leaks.
