When it comes to car sounds, it's really tough to top Ferrari. After all, the legendary manufacturer is best known for its racing heritage and we all know how those Formula 1 motors sound. Glorious.

But we can't forget how lovely its road-going models sound. THINK: the F355, 360 Challenge Stradale, F50, Testarossa, 250 GT California and the list goes on. For Ferrari it now has an all-new road-going racer. That, my friends, would be the 458 Speciale.

Of course since it will feature more hardcore tuning and elements, it's expected to have a bit more of a flamboyant tone. You can judge for yourself if that's the case in the video below.

Yes, we know the second pass is a bit "weak" but we're working with what we've got, folks.

I have filmed the newly-revealed Ferrari 458 Speciale lapping Fiorano racetrack for some testing! The sight was brief, but enough to film a couple of accelerations and downshifts so you get to hear how does it sounds compared to the 458 Italia.

The 458 Speciale is the hardcore version of the 458 Italia, it's 90kg lighter (with a curb weight of 1290kg), mean while the 4.5L V8 engines produces 605hp / 540nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3,0s, from 0 to 200 km/h (0-120 mph) in 9.1s with a top speed of over 325km/h (201 mph).
