One of the more captivating stories in recent days has been the all-new BMW 2-Series, to be more specific the M235i.
When BMW built the 1M and trotted it out as a 2011 model, people went nuts. I was one of them. The car was perfect in just about every way and, to me, showed the world that BMW still "had it." Since the 1M ceases to exist the M235i will have to carry the torch. Considering the reception of the M135i abroad, we think the 2-Series won't have much trouble.
The latest spy photos coming to us — from what we can tell — from inside of the BMWNA headquarters in Woodcliff Lake are revealing the front clip of the M235i and the standard 2-Series.
If my memory serves me correctly that would make this red M235i the FIRST 2-Series on U.S. soil.

The first image shows the M235i bumper (on the left) compared to the standard 2 Series bumper (on the right). The 2 Series bumper is the same as the one spotted on the standard 2 Series prototype we showed you last week. Both designs look very sporty to us. The image also gives a great top-down look at the M235i and highlights how short its overhangs and tail end are.
Next up is the first look at the M235i's undercarriage and shows us that like the M135i, it is not equipped with a limited slip differential (LSD) as standard...
