Since the launch of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a.k.a. Gullwing, there's been rampant speculation about a "baby SLS." As time went on spy photographers nabbed shots of a smaller SLS lookalike and sure enough the rumors were true.
Mercedes has been working on an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi R8, Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911 competitor. Though we haven't been provided any insight into the goal of this product, it will likely be a more focused driving experience than say the SL-Class, which already sits near this price range. Let's face it, the SL is more of a boulevard cruiser and not a driver's car like the competition.
If AMG is involved, and we're sure they are, expect it to be a much more exhilarating experience.
Now the latest spy shots provide us with some angles not previously seen. For me it's pretty eye opening to see this vehicle from its ass-end. That's because it becomes SO clear how long that schnoz is and also it gives you a good idea of how it's hind quarters will look. To me, I am seeing A LOT of the Aston Vantage there. That's a good thing.
