Though the two-seater market has cooled quite a bit in the past 12 months, it seems that automakers are still upping the ante and are not delaying the refresh of their models. Now if you take a look at the Audi lineup, there's one vehicle that's due for some serious work.

That would be the Audi TT.

While the TT doesn't account for a massive volume of sales, it is a critical car because it does, more or less, carry the R8's halo legacy. And from what we can tell with these early spy photos, it's clear that Audi is benchmarking this vehicle closely with its competition from BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Looking closely at the photos, it's pretty obvious that if you were expecting a radical design you will be disappointed. The greenhouse and overall shape remains largely the same. The changes will come down the line in the front facade and rear hind quarters. Expect the new TT to feature the all-new signature Audi grille that's going to be more angular and aggressive along some straight-edge headlights.
