If there's one vehicle on the market right now that's in dire need of a replacement, it's the Audi Q7. Let's look over the facts:

It's chassis is based off the first-generation Volkswagen Touareg.

        - Putting it nicely, this means:
                - It is NOT fuel efficient
                - It's VERY heavy
                - Overall, the technology is simply not up to par

The biggest problem with this chassis is its weight. It feels like a tank. While I appreciate that "tanklike" feeling, I also do want to have a more pleasurable driving experience as well as net better fuel efficiency. So, now that we KNOW that Audi will be doing some significant dieting, we're looking forward to this new iteration.

Now, onto the latest images. The most recent pictures still show a largely camouflaged vehicle BUT there is good news. Little bits are becoming more pronounced on the prototype. Note the vehicle's headlights, taillights, front grille shape and front valence.

It's becoming much more clear what the Q7 will look like.

Perhaps I am being overly ambitious here but I think given the large front grille and flanking air intakes, it's very likely we'll see the V8 from the S6/S7 make its way into the Q. It certainly appears that this all-new Q7 will need to BREATHE, which leads me to believe a forced induction motor will be churning out the power for the latest vehicle with four rings.
