At the time of this writing there's plenty of speculation about the crash that claimed the lives of Paul Walker and Roger Rodas. For those of you not in the loop, Rodas is the CEO of a shop, Always Evolving Performance Motors — which Walker had a stake in — as well as a wealth management professional for one of the world's top banks.

Walker was 40. Rodas was 38. Both leave behind families.

Car forums are buzzing with conversation about the Porsche Carrera GT and its long checkered history of crashes and, unfortunately, fatal accidents.

At the moment it is irresponsible to place blame on the alleged driver — particularly when it is not clear who was actually behind the wheel. But from the very large debris field, it's clear that the auto was moving at a considerable pace at the time it left the road.

Although a lot of conversation about the crash surrounds Walker, due to his mainstream fame, I felt it would be appropriate to learn more about Rodas, the other victim of the incident. Note: he also was a racer known for competing in the Pirelli World Challenge and experienced driver.

The latest reports are indicating that autopsies on both victims will be conducted later in the week.
