We all know Audi is very close to BMW in terms of unseating the 3-series as the winner of the sport-sedan class.

The BMW clearly wins in every driving dynamics category from acceleration, braking, slalom speed, horsepower to torque and driving feel etc....

The Audi clearly wins on the interior with better materials quality, layout, ergonomics and presentation. There are no cheap feeling bits in the Audi interior like there are in the BMW interior.

We know Audi is capable of producing cars that can rival the best that BMW can throw at them with the RS4.

Audi was sick and tired of hearing the praise of the M3 and it obviously took serious charge with the RS4.

Audi is probably also sick of hearing the praise of the BMW 3-series for generations. With their immaculate interiors and Quattro AWD if Audi made a car with driving dynamics similar to the RS4 (obviously not as fast in acceleration) will they unseat the 3-series?

With parent company Volkswagen to offer help in terms of technology it could very well be a possibility.
