Even though Hyundai has come a long way since its humble beginnings, it seems that it still doesn't get the respect it deserves. Call it brand snobbery or ignorance, it's a shame.

The Korean auto builder is creating some of the most aggressive products that are priced super competitively. I know I've told many people who've come to me for buying advice to check out the Elantra and Sonata. Some did, some didn't.

One place I think the company has always shined is SEMA. That's because Hyundai makes a distinct effort to bring plenty of modified rides and essentially shed that image of a dinky economy car.

This is a changed brand and Hyundai is doing what it can to help consumers realize.
