Though BBC's world famous Jeremey Clarkson was only suspended as of Tuesday, a lot has already been making the news across the pond. While the future isn't clear about the BBC's relationship with Clarkson, Top Gear, Richard Hammond and James May, one thing is certain, the public has weighed in.
They firmly want Jezza to stay.
We know this as the Change.org petition saying #BringBackClarkson has surpassed its 500,000 goal. That's pretty bananas, if I am honest.
In addition, if that wasn't already enough, it turns out that rumors are swirling that rival network ITV may be positioning itself to make a significant, multimillion dollar bid to acquire Clarkson's talent. According to the Daily Mail the rumored bid is said to be 10 million GBP.
More details about the conflict are emerging. Right now the latest word being reported states that Clarkson returned from filming with the rest of the team and apparently food was not prepared. Somehow this allegedly led to Clarkson smacking a producer and a scuffle broke out. Those that were present are saying it wasn't as big of a deal as it's being made out to be, but the BBC inquiry continues with the last three episodes in question.
When the media spoke with James May as his residence's door step, a clearly annoyed May gave a cheeky response and then followed it up with no further comment. See below for the clip.
