As I wrote in a post yesterday, if you were expecting an all-new, revolutionary 2016 Kia Optima, you probably were a bit disappointed. But, I don't think that's a reason to sulk.
That's because while Kia may have taken a light-handed approach to the vehicle's exterior, its interior has been fully revamped. Not only is there a bit more room, it also departs from the last-gen Optima's look.

Now it appears a bit less like a cockpit that wraps around you and follows a more BMW-esque approach. What I mean by that is check out how the center stack is arranged as well as flat.
On the outside not much has really changed as it's an evolution, however, it's very obvious that Kia spent time tidying up its design. Many of the bits that I found a bit annoying or garish have been toned down. To me, it has a more elegant appearance than the Optima it replaces.
