The 2015 New York Auto Show (NYIAS) marked the debut of the newly refreshed Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class sport-utility vehicle. Considering Audi launched the all-new Q7 and BMW just re-did its X5 and X6, it only makes sense that the three-pointed star up its game a bit.

But if you're one of those sick individuals that craves MORE power, then there's no question the standard models won't suffice. That's where Mercedes' sub-brand, AMG, comes into play.

Essentially previewed by the GLE 63 Coupe that was unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS), we're now going to give you a look at its sibling that's a bit more conservative and purposeful — I mean that from a design perspective.

Of course this assumes you think having an SUV with 550+ horsepower is purposeful. That said, feast your eyes on Mercedes-AMG's latest mean machine.
