One thing that makes our little slice of automotive heaven different from the other guys is that we don't stand still. We're kind of like sharks. If we stop moving, we die.
Special thanks to my dear friends who have characterized my personality as such and I've completely stolen their line. Now, onto the news...
While doing some qualitative research, we received some very interesting news from a regular reader that happens to be a large eastern Lexus dealer about the all-new Lexus RX. As you all know, it is one of the company's bread and butter products that racks up HUGE sales numbers for Toyota's luxury division.
Here it is, folks:
The all-new RX will NOT only be offered as a five seater, mid-size luxury sport-utility vehicle. It turns out that it will also be available in a long wheelbase variant that's four inches longer to accommodate room for third-row seating. Expect it for the 2017 model year.
We've heard about Lexus trying to bridge the gap with third-row competition like the Acura MDX, Land Rover Discovery Sport and plenty of others. It seems like this will be the company's answer.
