When I think of Carroll Shelby and what he brought to the automotive community, it’s hard not to think of vehicles like the British-inspired roadster — the Cobra — and his world-famous GT350 and GT500 Mustangs. But it appears that the writing has been on the wall and the company is expanding its tuning efforts.
That’s where the F-150 comes into play.
We all know the F-Series as the best-selling pick-up truck. It only makes sense that, arguably, the best aftermarket vendor for the Blue Oval pitch in and offer some of its mods. Painted in a bold blue hue, it is spec’d out with the trademark white stripes we’ve seen on everything from Ford GTs to Mustangs.
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there’s something about this that is overtly cool and displays that the company is staying on its toes. In addition, there’s something to me that seems awfully criminal about a Shelby-modified F-150. I guess it’s the purist in me speaking up.
