The 2016 Chevrolet Volt was launched to limited markets mostly in states that are considered electric vehicle friendly. Though it's only been on the market since October, the 2016 MY will be a short one.

The 2017 MY Chevrolet Volt will debut in showrooms come spring time.

According to word on the street, the 2017 MY product will benefit from a change in optional equipment and the way the Volt is packaged. It's not much, really.

The real story here is that the 2017 Volt will be on offer nationwide.

After just driving the 2016 Volt myself, I have to say that I am interested to see how the all-new Volt will sell. The second-generation effort is much more impressive than the first go 'round.


...That 2017 model will get some extra available equipment compared to the 2016 Volt, but will have the same price, according to CarsDirect.

The biggest change in terms of equipment will be the addition of adaptive cruise control as an option on the Premier model.

The system comes bundled with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, low-speed automatic braking, and intelligent high beams--all of which adds $2,185 to the Volt's sticker price...
