Well, this was totally unexpected. It seems that an all-new automaker is jumping into the foor-door coupe fray.

This time it's a little different though. That's because it's taking some creative license from luxury sport-utility vehicles like the Acura ZDX, BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe.

Our friends at the Japanese auto manufacturer undergoing a renaissance, Mazda, are going to debut a CX-something that's a four-door SUV coupe. According to reports it is based on the CX-5, which begs the question: What will it be called?

CX-4?

CX-6?

Will there be an all-new nomenclature associated with the sportier SUV?

As of now there's no indication where the vehicle will debut though my money would be on the 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS) or the 2016 Shanghai Motor Show.
