At the 2016 New York Auto Show Nissan unveiled to us the new 2017 model year GT-R. To outsiders or those who do not follow the industry as closely as we do, they may look and say "Where's the changes?"

But those who are on top of the GT-R can spot them a mile away.

If you thought the exterior wasn't enough of a revision, well then, you haven't seen the inside. It's clear the company wanted to up the luxury ante a bit as well as update the GT-R's existing electronics.

Overall, it seems like Nissan pivoted the GT-R to be a more refined product as it gets older. But don't get it twisted. It will still be a gnarly beast gunning for today's top supercars. While it may have more sound deadening and acoustic glass being put to use for the windshield, it also gets a boost in power as well as a full titanium exhaust.

Undoubtedly, this is the best GT-R ever built. Learn more about the 2017 model year GT-R via the clip shot by Autocar, below!

The 2017 Nissan GT-R will receive a raft of improvements, including a 20bhp power increase, a new exhaust and a redesigned interior.

Here, Nissan’s head of sports cars in the UK, James Oliver, talks Autocar through the changes. We’ll review the car late this month, ahead of UK deliveries in late summer.
